Does it have to be both ?

In any case, if the pricing is unacceptable to the passenger then he or she could fly United Airlines or another airline flying the HKG-SIN vv. route.

I hope SQ is buying the new seats for the 772 conversions from some company other than Koito................

It's called product differentiation. I make it better, I charge more. It's nothing more sinister than pure capitalism. No one is coerced into flying them.

Just like how the SIN govt never coerces SQ, and the Japanese govt necer coerced JL? Trust me, a lot of people are "required" to fly SQ.

All I am saying is that if SQ does not meet a punter's expectations price wise, there are alternatives which will. Nothing more to read into.

Perhaps you would like to rephrase your comments then.

                Are you not saying that...

                1. SQ is too expensive

                2. their prices are unacceptable for 2 reasons:
                • bad business practice &
                • socially unacceptable

oh well - I guess when I get back to work tomorrow I'm going to take money out of the products I develop. God forbid, someone might accuse me of being irresponsible for investing in it and actually wanting to charge what I think consumers will pay. We can't have THAT can we? no.. every product should be homogenous, for the masses at exactly the same price.

I miss the good old days. Now, where's my Trabant? I need to drive it to a politburo meeting.

                    WOW!! You drive a Trabant?

Do you have the heated rear window option?

So your hands don't freeze onto the glass when you are pushing it in the winter?

If SQ is smart they have the 777's outfitted for JNB-SIN and JNB-SIN by June for the World Cup. Im surprised they were not mentioned in the article. Is this route getting it as well?

                            Why would they bother?

                            38/228 vs 30/255?

I agree - they'll probably sell every seat on those planes as is - thank you very much. When you're half drunk heading to a bigger sports party, the confines of the plane don't seem to matter as much.
