Rows 56 & 57 is for another set of crew who are paxing. Paxing is a crew term whereby they travel just like us passengers, usually paxing happens on sectors which are not on a daily frequency, just like some AKL & CHC flights.
Paxing is also often seen on the SIN-DME-IAH sector too but soon will be gone as this sector is going daily soon.

It seems like it's going to stay the same old B777-200 with regional F and J? I'm thinking circa January 2011 timeframe.
872/871 as the refurbished 772 with only 2 classes, J and Y.

However SQ870 on Jan 1 and 2 is selling F class tickets from www.singaporeair.com. Isn't that an indication of the old birds?

But you were asking for 872/871 correct? Those are the refurbished birds.
