Does anyone know why SQ 859 will be changed back to the old planes ? I flew on SQ 859 this week with the new seats, and I am not looking forward to going back to the old seats when this happens.

For C class passengers, some just stick to their mileage program, and the others who prefer quality, must use SQ since they can predict what they get during booking. If they want the wide, new seat, just book the A380, 77W flights.
For First passengers, the only choice for them is SQ as CX do not put the aircrafts with F regularly in this route.
So I do not think SQ need to put CX in their eyes for putting which aircraft to HKG-SIN route. Even SQ's old 772 is still on par with most frequencies of CX for this route as CX normally use their crappy old A330, 772 and 773 (All without AVOD)for this route
The advantages for CX would be those prefer One World Alliance and those who speak Cantonese onlyLast edited by sutrakhk; 20 September 2010, 09:35 AM.

was wondering if anyone could advise on the best seat in Biz class as I am taking this new plane 777-200, HKG-SIN in Feb 2011!
The mini cabin looks cozy but just worried that the crowd from economy class will rush their way through upon arrival in SIN

The only way I can tell looking at a KVS or Expertflyer seatmap is to see whether 16C/H or 17C/H is blocked to tell the difference.

SQ swept my last SQ859 from 26 fore, 12 aft config (when I pre-select my seat some 72 hours before flight and also when OL check in 48 hours before) into 20 fore, 18 aft cabin config without notice...
