LH has the larger package. I have gotten them on LX.

Do the number of towels offered on a flight differ ?

I have a vague recollection that on my SQ NGO-SIN flight in December, I must have got about five towels for the flight, i.e. before takeoff, after takeoff, before the meal, after the meal and just before landing. I can't quite recall that many on any other shorthaul SQ flight I've taken ?

Do you normally get a hot towel after satay ? I only remember those disposable wet wipes.

Must be depending on the crew. Yesterday, I got the hot towel, but no wet pack. Last week, got wet pack only for ICN-SIN.

Discussions about the temperature of SQ towels is not a trivial matter. The hot towels are part of the SQ service that some pax remember SQ for!

Yes, even Y pax expect that nice hot towel and they look forward to that. I spoke to some Aussies in Vietnam about their experience flying with SQ. They love SQ because of the food and hot towels. One went so far as to say she wasn't that concerned about getting to the destination.

hahah that's soo funny. I think it's warm enuff.

I remember from the tv program (a family guy), a cabin crew handed out the hot towel to a funny guy in the business class. He touched it and shouted "Awwwoh! That's HOT!! HOT!! HOT!!". Then he threw it up in the air. A cabin crew was shocked and suprised (she was like ) and said to him "Ohhh! I'm sooo sorry and I should have told you earlier that the towel is really hot" (that's a funny one!)

Try to fly other airlines. They dont hand out hot towels in the Y class.

Hot towels - how did they get it?

I was wondering how the cabin crew get/made the hot towel??

I saw them in the galley. They opened the metal oven box's lid and took the the layer of the aluminium foils out. I guess there are lots of hot towels inside the aluminium foil. So they opened it and put the hot towels on the tray.

                    Am i right?

Taking several flights last week, and no, the towels were not hot. Even for the last segment SIN-MXP seated in 14K, and saw the FA opened the door at the galley to take out the towels, and they were not hot - just luke warm.

                          Next flight: SQ319 A380 inaugural LHR-SIN
