On SQ Website, when aircraft shows 777-300, it may mean the old regional 773, or the retrofit 773. So for SQ 454 from 27 Mar onwards, it will be using the retrofit 773.

Yup..tt's y i called up reservations to check the seatmap...and if you try to do online redemption, First Class saver awards are not available...

The only retrofitted B777-300 is currently flying to Riyadh via Dubai as SQ454.

The downgauge somehow coincides with the withdrawal of the 773s being returned to lessor. I have a feeling it's the 4 owned by Langdon which are due to be returned at the end of SEP/OCT/NOV/DEC.

Shanghai SQ830 & Beijing SQ802 (must be the 18 seater in First Class, why PVG & PEK not getting retrofitted B777-300?)
Frankfurt/New York JFK SQ26 (B747-400)

Jan 2012's First Class saver awards are NOT available on these flights, only Business Class Saver showing B777-300 (must be the retrofitted ones):

Dubai/Riyadh SQ494
Sydney SQ211
Melbourne SQ217 & SQ237
Mumbai SQ424

I checked KrisFlyer redemption, SQ638/637 First Class Saver from 01 Oct 2011 onwards on the retrofitted B777-300 is available as of today, 17 Feb 2011.
For B777-300ER First Class Saver from 27MAR11 – 30SEP11, it is not offered.

I called up SQ reservations today... checked some dates in Jan 2012 for SQ802, SQ830 and SQ638 to Beijing, Shanghai & Tokyo Narita... the seating configuration is 8 First & 50 Business, retrofitted B777-300 and First Class saver awards are available as of today 19 Feb 2012...The First Class seats is the same as the B777-300ER...Better redeem your miles now for the First Class saver awards on these flights when they are still available...

FWIW, 9V-SYG has no acars reports since 4 February, whereas all the others in the re-fit group do...............
