Just an update - took this flight yesterday and i decided on 2A in the end - pleased i did as well as i saw the protrusion at the back of 1A and felt that room around the shoulders was more important than space at the front - was still able to stretch out fine though.
Normally i enjoy First mostly for the food & drink but due to some recent stomach surgery (from which i am now fully recovered) i could only manage three glasses of Krug/Dom (as opposed to my usual 3 or 4 bottles
) and 2 courses out of 6 from the meal. I suppose without the food & drink taking the New J in row 11&12 would probably make more sense!
