The story is, SQ needs MI and vice-versa.
And I personally prefer the older economy seats, much more comfortable and more seat pitch.

Having just spent a long weekend in KMG, I was able to try the old MI vs new MI product.Originally posted by Nick C View PostLooks like MI's long awaited cabin retrofit program is back on track and will be done by October next year.
Unequivocally, the old Y is better. More legroom, softer seats.
Not looking forward to the "enhancements"

The colors on economy class are similar to SQ, however, I'm not sure it has PTVs on the new seats. Well the pitch size looks like Air Canada's A320 I flew to YYZ from LAS, and same as I flew home from YYZ-SFO. Air Canada has PTVs though

If you need the legroom then yes J class is worth it. Especially on longer flights ( like KMG ).Originally posted by SQ_fanatic View PostHavent been on Silkair. Im planning to go BKI and wonder if their J class is worth it.
Different but nice. No complaints from me on this score. Not too sure on their service delivery as compared to their "big sisters".
No PTV. Just overhead monitors that drop down. Headphones not provided... not even in J.Originally posted by SQfanatic View PostThe colors on economy class are similar to SQ, however, I'm not sure it has PTVs on the new seats.

Are you being prevented from bringing any form of personal entertainment (reading material, MP3 player, computer / tablet, etc.) with you?Originally posted by SQfanatic View PostWow you'd know how bored I'd be for 4 hrs up to TRV.
Are you on some kind of blacklist or something?
