Maybe they mean prospectively sold to Transaero when finally removed from SQ service?

Right now, 9V-SPJ, -SPP, and -SPQ remain on SQ25/26, but -SPO is definitely not in passenger service: when SPP went belly up a couple of days ago, they had to turn -SPQ at SIN off SQ25 back to JFK -- 8 hours late. So, there's only the three left in that loop, and no backup frame.

Looks like we'll have -SPJ on our SQ25 ex-JFK tonight.....................

      • Why is 9V-SPJ still in the fleet? Newer aircraft have left the fleet leaving this older one please? Did it have little use or something?

Here, I caught 9V-SPP doing a airtest on 8/9 before doing SQ25 on the night. The night before SQ25 which was scheduled to be operated by -SPP was cancelled. What was the reason... anyone ?

Heard it was due to some hydraulic problems. The flight was delayed till the next morning and operated with the incoming SPQ from JFK/FRA. No spare 744s for back-up if one goes down now.

            • 9V-SPO/P/Q are indeed for Transaero but most for hand-over in 2012 Q1.

                      Doesn't say SPJ is a leased a/c.

                      • Ah, ah.

9V-SPJ is owned by IEM Airfinance.

How do you know these info, is there a more accurate "fleetlist" somewhere else which contains these sort of details for each a/c?
