Booked my ticket LAX-BOM with the new ICN flight. As always the buggy SQ website does not allow me to select meals on LAX-SIN leg. The meals section only shows my trip as SIN-BOM

How long does SQ need to fix the websites

How long in advance is your flight? I am curious as normally mine does not show up when my long haul flights is 10 months in advance. I have two bookings CGK- ICN (returning via HND), and CGK-HND. Also used to had CGK-NRT back in 2015. The only sector that shows up 10 months in advance AFAIK is CGK to/from SIN.

This is during December, with the new flight starting up, SQ offered a good price compared to others during peak travel season, of course I always prefer sq when I get a chance, prefer a 3-3-3 sq 777 for a long haul journey compared to 3-4-3 ek and others

I saw the same thing for December. Although we haven't booked or finalized tickets yet, SQ has offered a very good price for Christmas/New Yeae as the cheapest. When prices lowered, it offered a nonstop flight both ways, but selecting SQ1/2 jacks up the price up to 2000+ for my mom's date and around 1700-1800 for the time my dad and I will go.

The thing about the cheap fare is that there's no cancelation/refund allowed (In the first price part) since when I travel with my parents, my dad tends to be notorious for changing one or the other date of travel, so the higher fare taking SQ1/2 allows us to do all of that. It's likely by July or so tickets will be finaized so more likely than not it will be flying a SQ 77W both ways even if they both go via HKG. I still prefer a 9 abreast 77W over a 10 abreast A380 (Like EK, though comfortable, I still prefer the 77W).

then the problem is not what i thought. my booking was for february and it appeared last month (I think). Sorry, can't help, but my guess is that you should just wait (just like SQ said to me: the meal selection/book the cook is not available yet)

Wow, SFO is to go nonstop.

I have to say, I was surprised how few managed to rumble the hints by Savage25 who did his best to spoil the 'surprise'.

What is slightly surprising is what has not been officially announced yet...

I have always known the 3rd nonstop US Destination would be SFO.

I am surprised they're not doing anything to FRA/JFK. They're getting PEY on the A380, but am a little surprised they're still sticking with the older product. Is it doing that well as far as yields go? I know LAX isn't as far as yields hence they decided to downguage (upgrade as far as products go) it to a 77WR. They could downgrade to a 77WR and bring back one of the EWR routes back temporarily via AMS also with a 77WR like they're doing with LAX.

Only thing unchanged is IAH, still sticking with 2006 77Ws.

Don't think they are in any hurry to upgrade the product on SQ 61 / 62 due to the downturn in the Oil & Gas industry...
God must have been a ship owner, he placed the raw materials far from where they are needed and covered two-thirds of the earth with water...

There are some whispers among the crew that Sin-Dme-IAH is current the next route under review due to the erratic loads.. Hence any upgrade of the hard product is extremely unlikely..

I quite fancy this to be taken over by MAN, who are likely to have US pre clearance soon.

Could IAH handle a 77WR in that case if they decide to route it thru MAN instead? Somehow the current 62/61 flight still sustains at 5 weekly, other flights that are close to being reduced or axed out stay at 3 weekly at the minimum (e.g. SQ68/67).

Had SQ been nearly 95% complete on the refits by now, what would happen to IAH? Still get a refitted 77W in a 77WN config?

Apparently, we are going to find out. SQ have applied for slots at MAN for a non stop from SIN before continuing westbound to IAH (SQ061/SQ062). Daily operation. Start date TBC, B77W.

SQ327/328 is to terminate at MUC.

                              IAH or IAD O.o

I hope whichever days of the week that it doesn't continue to IAH/IAD, it will to JFK/EWR.

You are quite right - IAH!

I think it is daily, and the flight will continue on the MAN-IAH-MAN sector each day in addition to the SIN-MAN and return sector.

If it happens it is a huge vote of confidence for MAN given the stories about Scoot. SQ can take advantage of the U.S. preclearence facility at MAN (when it is implemented) and may be able to hold a codeshare with UA.

IMHO - the next step for SQ should be a codeshare with Flybe who provide a solid domestic feed at MAN for the likes of CX, VS and DL.
