Hard for the SIN-SFO route to sustain two competitors non-stop, although code sharing between SQ and UA would help! UA has already applied for blanket code sharing with SQ and the SQ code will be put on some UA flights from IAH for feed for SQ61/62 which doesn't seem to be doing too well with the energy crisis!
Maybe a joint venture for transpacific routes between both will optimize schedules and increase benefits for passengers? Quite surprised how much expansion the A350 is already being used for especially considering the conservative growth at SIA mainline over the past few years...
Exciting times for SIA ahead

Booked the seemingly error J class fare SCL-GRU-SIN-COK of $1.5K on Monday and now the bulk of the sectors has been cancelled not even 3 days after that.
I wonder what Sq is going to do about my booking, they will certainly make massive loss to pay JJ or AV to reroute us via Europe.
They are now selling GRu-SIN via London and Paris with very inconvenient connections - 6hr minimum or overnight. I think most traffic from S.America will prefer MidEast hubs now.

I prefer LH also, less connecting time in GRu and in FRA, but that's premium heavy sector for SQ.
Are you on the same fare as I am (from SCL) ?
Because they may just decide to refund these tickets

I know SQ may never do this, but I wonder what the odds as far as demand go that SQ will do SIN-TPE-SFO (With a 77WR possibly) since there has been no SIN-TPE-LAX and vv anymore? Probably the fact they chose to not have 3 daily flights like LAX did at one point of time and two seems to be enough for travelers. Aftee all SFO is a major Star Alliance hub and then it comes down to 5th freedom from TPE-SFO by SQ.

If there's more demand on SIN-LAX they could always just return the A380 to the SIN-NRT-LAX route.
