We started the year with no nonstop flights to the US. Now we have UA2 and SQ32 minutes behind each another en route to SFO!
Another interesting tidbit- this route is the longest 787 flight, and now, also the longest A350 flight.

BTW, Air India today staked a claim (for 2 years) to the longest distance flight. It switched tracks of its DEL - SFO flight from a Westerly track (flown over the Atlantic) to an Easterly one (flown over the Pacific), giving it a distance of 15,300km. Flight time is, surprisingly, down to 14.5 hours from about 16.5 hours thanks to 138 km/h tailwinds on the sector.
