Same here. Booked for SQ305 and SQ306 for next year too. I have an option to change it to SQ319 but then the transit time is not convenience. Anyone know when this schedule for 77W will be firm?

One of these days they'll manage to make their mind up about LHR...

I often wonder why SQ317 doesn't operate just a little bit earlier so it arrives in SIN as early as a lot of the other European flights, around 0600-0630. It could mean that flight would have more possible connections for transiting passengers.

The more 77W flights to LHR the happier I'll be!

Perhaps they've come to realize, as CX has, that frequency trumps capacity?

I wonder whether previous twice daily 77W to CDG & ZRH made more $$$ than single daily A380?

That said, maybe they're just withdrawing A380s from service to fix the wings..

But they already operate 4 frequencies a day. Perhaps it's to better match capacity to demand, or so they can offer more flights with their new product?

Indeed I personally prefer the smaller plane. From SQ's point of view, once loading is below a certain number, it would be more cost efficient to run the twin-engine plane rather than the quad behemoth.

But unless someone here has the inside word, it'll be harder to find out which of these flights are run on the 77WN.

Well, consider this- if by then they have had delivery of a third 77WN, it could be used to cover the 135 77W flights, as it's quite curious how they've spread them out like that. Often they down-gauge days in the middle of the week in a clump when the loadings are lightest.

Also, if you look at the timings of the two pairs of 77W flights, three planes could actually cover a 2x daily operation, not just D + 135 as the two timings compliment each other. They do seem intent on making LHR their most prestigious route.
