    • I see the full transcript of the chatter between the tech crew and ground, Lumpur Tower and Radar has been released, and the last words were not 'Alright, good night'. Why have they only just bothered to clarify that now ?!.

I see one of our Nuclear Subs has just arrived in the area, it was re-tasked a week ago but they have only just announced it tonight. A very handy piece of kit when you are searching for things in water, but a shame they don't have anything specific for them to search for yet.

      • And now, three weeks later, they don't know who uttered the final words.

At this rate, we'll be searching South China Sea again in three weeks

        • Malaysian airlines JUST announced implementation of new policy prohibiting pilots to be alone in the cockpit. An cabin crew must be in the flight deck if a pilot needs to take a nature break. This may become industry wide practice some day.

          • Why implement a policy when the root cause has yet to be determined?

They just need to be seen to be doing something. Sales are probably slumping and cancellations going up. It's a management of perception, IMHO.

There will be no new facts to determine the root cause. Hence they are looking at what's on the table. Conclusion: don't leave one person alone in the cockpit.

It already is policy with a number of airlines and has been for years.

                  • CMIIW , no debris ever found or sighted .. but they are trying to locate a black box that pings under the sea. It just don't make sense IMHO..

This practice seemed to be in place on Air Asia X today

                          • An interesting program by ABC's Four Season last night. No video yet but you can read the transcript of the program at the bottom of the page.

The interview with the acting transport minister is very interesting especially his reply on why a military aircraft was not sent up to investigate the radar signal that was MH370.

Let's hope they can find something here.

                              • It's hard to believe this happened six months ago now, and even harder that we are still no closer to knowing what happened.
