The new china pattern is actually beautiful. Both CGK and I agree on this. I think he mentioned it in an earlier post. It's very classy and though I wish the table cloth had some line in it like the old royal blue, it is a nice change.
Hm. Guess the pictures aren't doing it for me then. I'll give a fair assessment of them the next time I'm up front in F...whenever that'll be.
J777 and StarG were kindly enough to escort us to the gate. Hmm I take that back. They and plkong got the buggy ride, and Norway_Asia, DFP and I were punished having to walk all the way from SKL.
And once we passed the security, we were greeted by this beautiful SQ Girl who gave us the gift, which is an SQ logo leather passport holder.
And these two gentlemen seem to be jealous.
The buffet were French food. Forgot to take pics. Or I must say I was a bot shy to do so, since too many people around. Some snails. Some soups. And yeah there were a fusion of southeast asian dessert that I like (with coconut milk and something). The dessert chef is not French by the way. He is a German.
At this gate party, first time ever, I have to reveal myself that I am not a Y pax for the flight. Yeah, I was trying to get another passport holder gift. The supply was plentiful, thus no problem. Butthere was the book "The Romance of Travel Lives On" on the same table. I took it as souvenir. And one minute later, a certain SQ staff demanded the book back. I don't really remember what he said, but a bit looking down on me. So, I told him, please tell Ms E (from the Marketing Department) that I would like to speak to her, and by the way, I am flying in (showing my red BP), and I also (pointing to the sticker on BP). And I gave back the book and walked away.
Of course, later on, the same guy was super friendly to me seeing me chatting with Ms E as well as the head of the Marketing. And he brought another booklet for me. Hey, I saw they do have abundant supply of the blue-color book near the other wall.
Anyway, basically in the spirit of celebrating 60 years, the marketing department will contact me later for a quote of something and asking whether my photos can be published in SQ magazines. I said sure. Well then we had several photo shots at the gate. And that's why I was boarding second to last for the F cabin.
Is that your own caviar spoon or was it from the flight?
Also, absolutely love the SQTalk tag so jealous
The spoon-stingy is the gift from Singapore Airlines. Remember the thread about how to handle caviar properly? Yeah, got one from SQ as a gift, and it's in my carry-on since then. And yes, the mother-pearls spoon make the caviar taste differently than using that metal spoon/fork on board. Of course, DFP has his own mother-pearl spoon from his Concorde flight looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oong time ago.
If you look carefully, it is very small. And no pattern. It has been approved by many of SQ cabin crew, that they prefer my SQ spoon. Looks more elegant.

Yes, I love the new "caviar" china pattern in F. Looks classy. May be the pictures do not show clearly. It's true the table cloth should be more bold in the trim.
Not to forget, I love the salt and pepper thingy.
To clarify, not the crew on SQ334. I don't think they even notice our special spoon since no comment was made. Yeah, they were busy serving the other pax.
When we flew together in the past month, we did ask the cabin crew about the spoon. The first time we asked was on SQ25 JFK-FRA.

Must choose the meals from the menu with a glass of Krug.
And my turn to pose with the Leading Stewardess. Forgot completely to take pictures with the IFS and the Lead Steward. They were too busy working in the galley.
Nice big screen, but a mistake to rely on the information given. 8 hours to Paris???
SQ hoped for the first flight A380 to Sydney this year. This was reflected on the screen of the remote, which says "0 hours to SYD." But I was not good in taking the picture of it. Thus, you can't see it.
Of course, there are two outlet for the headphones in each seat. So, a test for SQ new headphone and Bose NC-3 should be done.
Per request from the FA, in order not to upset the F pax who are sleeping, we have to move to the back of the plane for fulfilling our party mood. We later on got a bottle of Dom sent to the back, and one or two Y pax was lucky enough to join the cheers!
Yup, we have to use the lavatory. Since it was an un-SQ like service, this part was lacking as well. I could not find the paper cups. But the worst part was the sink in lavatory by door 1L clogged. Sorry forgot to take pictures. But when I went in there, seeing the problem, I went out straight, and waited my turn for th elavatory near 1R.
In general, I love the new bathroom. But I wish SQ have the bathroom with windows like on LH F or SK C lavatories.
You see Ferragamo Eau de Cologne and After Shave, as well as ETRO body lotion. The paper cups can be found right underneath the parfume area.
I think those are the pictures I have in my camera. Hope those help visualizing the experience of flying first on 77W with the new YCF seats.
