I've just dumped jhm outside one of the terminals in LHR this morning. Hopefully it was the right one. It was too dark and crowded to make out if it was T3. So he would not be on-line for at least another 12 hours.

I don't know about the flights but I could help you with Tokyo questions.

1.There was a thread started by KeithMEL about the Hilton Tokyo, in which a few Tokyo hotels were also discussed.

    2. There are also several threads in the Japan Forum on www.flyertalk.com. You'd definitely get an answer if you do a search on hotel stays in that forum. If not, the friendly folks on that forum would be able to help you with your queries.

    3. Tokyo's quite big and I think some people tend to stay at a hotel in the vicinity where they would be exploring. So it really depends on where/what you want to go/do, and choose the hotel in the part of town.

    4. It also depends on which hotel programs you're with. jhm is a SPG slut, so he'd tell you about the SPG properties only. We like the Sheraton Miyako because it has a frequent bus service to the JR station, and you can move around Tokyo easily on the Yamanote line (like the Circle line in London).

    5. Lots of shopping in Shinjuku and around Nohonbashi. So maybe you'd prefer to stay in those locations. I think the MO is linked by subway to Mitsukoshi.

The toilets look definitely much nicer than the SQ one's.
You are not, who you are, you are who you want to be.
