I've never heard of nor come across anything like this in Singapore, HK or other parts of China, e.g. the hawker centres/food courts/kopitiams in Singapore which consist of (as far as I know) independent food stalls (with one or two drink stalls) rather than what you describe above with one main stall and ancillary stalls. Is a Tai Chow unique to Malaysia ?
