This is absolutely correct, as the cockpit is always near first class or business class galley, if pilot request something he likes from the IFS, IFS will ask senior crew to keep it for the pilot.Originally posted by 9V-JKL View PostDepends on the pilot/IFS relationship. Its been known that some have had their meals served course by course..

Normal circumstances, after the meal service is completed, the crew & pilot will then make their menu choices. Priority is to be given to pax first, & pilots are not to demand to eat when meal service is ongoing. Of course, it is still flexible & depends on the relationship between pilots & crew. For cabin crew working in economy or business, they will have to stick to their meals in the zone where they work.
If the cabin & tech crew are paxing, ie, they are travelling as passengers in their civilian clothing, they will be served like any of us a normal passenger.

I didn't even know that. Wow, that's an awesome perk!Originally posted by 9V-JKL View PostIts been known that some have had their meals served course by course..

Does anyone know if the new 787 implemented some sort of table/tray design for the flight deck crew despite the presence of a control column?Originally posted by flyguy View PostFor Airbus A330, A40 and A380 tech crew - they have a foldable tray that they use as the airbuses dont have the yoke in front of them but uses side-stick for movement controls.
I would assume the pilots get something equivalent to a Y meal for short/regional routes...?Originally posted by PI66341 View PostWill any of the pilots gets a Y meal?
