Just booked myself on the inaugural A380 to NRT on May 20...
I got a "not so expensive" business class flight from SGN to NRT via SIN and it will be my first A380 flight. Unfortunately I can't do the return flight (of course no J seats are opened to sale and paying $1900 for a Y ticket is not too tempting either). Anyway, look forward to it despite a redeye flight.

    Anyone flying that inaugural flight!

I am at 20A for now!

It's indeed tempting, with one-way fare at US$1325 Now, I just need to figure out to get from from HKG to SGN and then NRT back to HKG

        Cool, Carfield, and congrats!

Are you doing a turnaround at SGN? Is it something easy to do? Any Visa requirement? I have never been to SGN.

To be honest, I personally hope that the 744's fly this route for a while as next to AMS or CPH with 772ER this seems to be the only viable route where I can still (with some luck) score a C Saver Award to Europe.

Unless SQ stops only offering Standard Awards on 773ER or A380 then bring them on.
