They stopped serving meals on that route last year, so you have to self-cater or buy their salad plates or snack boxes on board. It's served by a 757, which is not comfortable for transcontinental flights. And it's priced considerably more than their other 1-stop services coast-to-coast. The product & whole experience is hardly premium, and it's bad value for money.

I've also flown this route in J and F, and it's a completely story - they approximate their international J and F service and product, which pales in comparison to SQ but is very good by UA domestic standards.
Point taken. Never fly UA E+, waste my money. A 5 hour trip and you have to buy food like salads or snack boxes? On SQ or CX, I get something to eat even if on a two to three hour flight for free of course. Heard they even serve meals to PEN, despite being an hour plus flight. If I fly in America domestically, I'll try to get first class or something as I heard their economy class is real lousy. Since SQ codeshares with them, I would like to know if I ever have to fly with them. Supposedly a low cost carrier, I think.

I can't believe as a SQ passenger, I will be sitting on US if I do sit on their US codeshares. And US being not a good airline (as what people say), I can't believe their customers flying on SQ, a premium airline and US codeshares SQ38/37 which is an executive economy flight. I will buy SQ tickets from SIN to the US and then buy tickets from another airline, hopefully not US.

Be careful with that as well! Most US carriers' so-called F domestically is worse than international J and not much better than Y, domestic or international. With a few exceptions (UA or AA's premium F or J transcon service between JFK and the west coast; some widebodies with 3-class service, especially on aircraft that are normally used for international flights), you'd be wasting your money buying a F or J ticket for domestic US travels. To make sure you get your money's worth (or don't waste your miles on lousy F or J seats), be sure to do some research.
