This is deplorable behaviour from this guy. Reminds me of the 'nut lady' from Korean Air.
Who do these people think they're?
The airlines should remove paid priority boarding. What benefit do you get other then putting your bags in the overhead locker above their seat and the airline making few extra dollars? I have been on flights where these people think they're King Tut Tut making this service more problematic for other passengers and FA.

I agree that this is terrible behaviour, but how exactly would it be good to remove paid priority boarding for everyone altogether just because relatively FEW pax behave this way when compared to others? Instead, I think any idiots should be suspended from taking flights until they learn their lesson.

Difficult to prove "idiocy" in legal terms to quantify a suspension or demotion.
The "nut" issue was different. Whilst, yes, idiocy, it was also on board and is governed by endangerment laws etc. Being an idiot is, in itself, legal which is just as well for many more people these days - the prison system would surely collapse.

Apologies if I wasn't very clear in my comment. I think I was too harsh by suggesting suspension from taking flight.
I didn't necessarily mean any "legal" actions to determine idiocy, although I can definitely think of some recent cases which should be treated as a crime. In contrast, this PPS guy was an example of a plain DYKWIA idiot whom airlines should discipline with some "minor" punishment such as suspension of FFP privileges, or at least a stern warning not to do it again. No arrests or fines unless the behaviour is dangerous or illegal, in which the offender should DEFINITELY not be allowed to fly.
Just my humble opinion. I am not an expert in legal affairs.

SQGamespeed, not sure what you're suggesting. What should he be suspended for? For missing his flight? Lots of people do that for various reasons. For complaining on FB about the plane not waiting for him? I think the lambasting he got from the community is quite enough punishment. And how can SQ "punish" him for complaining? I'm quite sure that there're hundreds of people who complain each day, including in this forum though most of it are not on social media.

You make a good point here; public shaming is good punishment for this sort of whining and doesn't warrant action from SQ. I guess I shouldn't have suggested any sort of suspension in my original comment. And I think complaining is perfectly acceptable but having worked for customer service in the past (although not for an airline), it just gets on my nerves when someone complains with a sense of entitlement like this guy did, which often makes me wish for something more than naming and shaming.
Again, sorry if I my comments sounded overblown. But I think I'll leave it at this point to avoid digging further.

Anybody boarding SQ217 hoping for a spare seat is really being wishful!
The situation with the family in D and G (he says D and F but we know better!) is a bit much though- I'd at least give him the option to let off steam about that one. Do the cabin crew have no power to instruct two people with twins to sit together, given they selected those seats, yet again, on the presumption that they would score an empty seat? I'd be pretty annoyed about that if I were the one inbetween.
