But not sure why Flyertalk did the same
I wish it would go further to the public. This kind of behaviour deserves more outrage and criticism than the plagiarizing blogger in Suites

That $23,000 Suites guy got criticism to the point of being a source of ridicule. The original author that was plagiarised came onto different sites and called out the blogger for using his content, kudos to him, but there are sure to be other idiots who will be doing the same thing.
I agree that people like these deserve to be called out more, and it's a shame that in both of these cases the discussion was cut short.
My humble 2 cents.

I actually don't think SQ deleted it. It seems to me that Vijay probably deleted his entire FB account to lay low a little. That seems to be the reason as the entire person & thread is missing off FaceBook now.Life's A Bitch,
Love It
If GOD created me for only 1 reason. That reason would be to the love of my wife. If there was any other reasons involved, that would be for the love of Singapore Airlines

well I big thumbs up to SQ for leaving this passenger behind, it is one of my biggest grips with flying when 99.9% of passengers can get to the gate on time but we all end up waiting for one or two inconsiderate so and sos who show up late nearly always with huge duty free shopping bags.

Plenty wrong with making irrational complaints justifying unacceptable and anti-social behavior on the back of some status.
He doesn't deny he's late, his gripe is "you should wait because I'm PPS"
For those types of complaints - i have ZERO sympathy . I have sympathy when there truly has been service failures. This was a case of service being held to the highest standards and I applaud SQ for it. It's slippery slope i grant you, because everyone who complains tends to believe they've had genuine service failures, but from a company perspective it's quite easy to sort the BS from the real.
In any case, I'll say this: some of the worst behaviour comes from card flashing DKYWIA's.
For those of you who have thrown a hissy fit at ground or air crew (be honest with yourself), and thought, ah, no harm no foul, he or she will forget it by tonight anyway - believe me: They don't. They compile, they compare notes and they talk about you (if you're frequent enough) behind your back.
Sometimes... you go too far, and it ends up.. on youtube

So I think it was SQ who deleted it to prevent more flak to their "esteemed guest"... And oh, I laughed so hard when I saw a comment on FB which referred to him as "PPS — Pretentious, Pompous, Stupid".

Sometimes... you go too far, and it ends up.. on youtube(if you are, i hate you):
1. 1 pax who ranted on and on for 15+ minutes for having been assigned seat 2A while 1A was empty. Flight was 6/8 load. His argument was that the check-in agent shouldn't have told him that 1A was unavailable and assigned him to 2A. He kept ranting to the station manager (who was summoned on board) to take note of the check-in agent 'lies' and report her behaviour and to take appropriate action (disciplinary).
2. 1 pax who was seated at 17D (2nd J cabin). Pax pouted and IFS was profusely apologising that he couldn't find a seat in the 1st cabin except for 12A window seat. He didn't take it, dismissed IFS with a rude dismissive get-lost gesture (you know - with one hand, and without looking). Face was very black, presumably because he couldn't get an aisle seat in the front cabin ...
No way i am going to forget these kind of disgusting behaviour overnight (I still remember these passengers' ridiculous faces vividly) - let alone the persons who had to face it.
My cabin crew friends have more stories...
And they say First Class pax are the easiest, business class pax are the hardest. Economy pax are in between ... depends.
Anyway, please respect others - passengers and crew alike especially when everyone has to stay in the same small tube for hours.Last edited by SQueeze; 20 January 2015, 10:33 PM.

Sounds just childish.
Had he suffered a medical emergency, we could understand, maybe.
Shopping and late at gate? Own responsibility.
Very true that the PPS status has lost value and maybe proper recognition in the past years... but a responsible behaviour towards fellow passengers and crew is the minimum anyone is required when flying.

It is one thing to comment or express an opinion about a topic, and I don't see an issue if there is discussion around whether the individual behaved appropriately or not, but I think a line was crossed when details of the individual were posted.
Cyber bullying / intimidation / harassment is really unwarranted and uncalled for in this type of situation.
I think this would have been a great thread on Flyertalk if the name was anonymised, and it became a general discussion about what is reasonable or unreasonable customer service, but it became too much of a personal attack in that thread, in my opinion.
In any case, it is now on Straits Times STOMP etc...
