To help clear confusion with the reinstated 772 regional:

7 + 1 - 7 = 1. This on the surface means that a plane was reinstated to temporarily bring the set of planes up to 8.

The set of 7 as at 31/3/19 is definitely SQL, SQM, SQN, SRM, SRO, SRP, SRQ.

I have made checks on flightaware for all other possible 772 regionals that are outside of this set and there hasn't been activity with any of them for ages.

I can only conclude that it is therefore 7 - 1 + 1 - 6 = 1. It's a very unusual way of stating it, but in that "-7", one of these planes is being accounted for being withdrawn twice.

i doubt the people doing the SQ presentation slides will state it in such an abstract way though. sounds more legit that they are indeed planning to reinstate one more 772.

if the plan to transfer SRP & SRQ was made in advance, then the 787's issues would have changed things...but since SRP/Q are already committed to nokscoot, then the only alternative is to reinstate another 772 until sufficient regional 359s and 787s are delivered.

my guess is still with SQJ

The presentation slides said that they reinstated, not will reinstate, the 772 in question. Now that BLR has gone A350, which means more slack for the 772 fleet, I’m not sure why they should reinstate a 772 if they haven’t done so already.

I think it is just for show only to those analyst/reporters. They have mention 2 787-10 were grounded. So they need to show that 2 planes were reinstated to help with the situation. But all the 7 777-200 are in service from 20/3 to 10/4.

That is also what I think. I believe they had originally planed to retire the 772 in question, but kept it flying past April 1 and so assumed it as "reinstated" in the slides.

Refitted A380 (9V-SKS only currently) has a different layout in Economy Class. Total capacities by cabin class are identical.

Yes I believe it was not feasible to move the crew rest compartment in the older aircraft, along with some of the toilets and galleys which also retain their existing configuration.

Yes hence two versions of the J cabin on the 772s, despite the same seat totals by cabin class.

If they fit on the MAXs, they fit on the NGs. I am completely unaware of cabin widening on the 737 MAX which is what Boeing did with their 777X.
