SIA & SilkAir Reservations System Upgrade on 8 Jul

  • Ever since the system was "upgraded", I can't see any of my bookings in my account and when I tried to do online check-in, it always show no flights available for check-in. Called customer service, I think all the robotic agents have been pre-programmed to tell you that "your KF number was not in your booking" (which is a outright lie) or "some agent bookings cannot be displayed".

    What is SQ mgmt thinking??? Maybe they think their load factor is so high that they have to discourage people from flying with SQ...

      My last KL trip is the same. But suprised to see when they made a mistake by canceling my return flight and mess up with booking. My original departed flight appearred in the KF account!

            • Just tried to do the same as well. Was acting a bit strange last night already when I went to check on a Waitlisted redemption. It no longer showed as waitlisted so I thought it was confirmed but just had a blank status next to it while another booking I had was still on waitlist. I've got to say I've never seen so many issues with a website before *sigh*

              • Hmmm ... strange. Managed to book a redemption flight yesterday to PER. No problems at all. Issues must have started after I did it.

                • Wanted to login to amend a booking SIN-NRT but there's now a "All KrisFlyer-related services are temporarily unavailable." text where the login used to be

                  *A little off-topic but this is too small an issue for a new thread.
                  Does anyone know if I can pay to upgrade a Y ticket on the site? Or would I need to call them up for this?

                    SQ is lucky, if this was happening with Qantas, it would be in the newspapers every single time an outage happened.

                    • Services seem to have been restored. Managed to log in again but still having the same issue where my HND-SIN is on waitlist but my SIN-NRT doesn't seem to have a status - neither confirmed nor waitlisted.. hmmm..

                        • I haven't been able to use the MI website all week. A message pops up saying 'Please note we are currently updating the website...' and you get redirected to the one and only singaporeair.com. Oh joy. I have been usng silkair.com for bookings recntly instead of the useless singaporeair.com. Be a real shame if they f*ck that one up as well.

                          I was trying to book a return to RGN, SQ.com was messing me about, MI website unavailable so I just booked on TG instead.

                            • Another maintenance.

                              All KrisFlyer-related services will be unavailable on Sunday, 29 July 2012, from 0200hrs to 0530hrs Singapore Time (Saturday, 28*July 2012, from 1800hrs to 2130hrs GMT) due to scheduled system maintenance.

                              During this period, PPS Club and KrisFlyer members will not be able to log into their accounts to retrieve their bookings or perform KrisFlyer services, such as redemption of award flights, upgrades and retroactive mileage claims.

                              We regret that account enquiries and services at our call centres will also not be available at this time.

                                Yeah the website has officially gone down three time this weekend, one unscheduled, the follow up times scheduled (surprise surprise).

                                It's been over a year since the letter from the CEO, and nothing has changed. If I didn't have so many points with them I'd change to another carrier. Their arrogance is sickening.
