Just Scooted to BKK on Barry today and it wasn't too bad actually! And the flight was pretty full too!

And an aircraft's maintenance schedule is set out by the manufacturer which all airlines operating it have to abide by. They can do more than what the schedule states, but never less. Regulatory authorities(CAAS) do regular audits to see these are followed.

Originally posted by boing View PostAs I mentioned, multiple authorities would be doing audits on Scoot. Including CAAS, there would be the aviation authorities of the countries Scoot is flying( CASA, DCA) doing regular audits on Scoot. So rest assured, there are many prying eyes trying to spot mistakes to prevent any untoward incidents from happening. From a safety point of view that is !

Not so in international aviation as the auditing authorities of the respective countries do not stand to lose in any way by the grounding of a foreign carrier. This forces foreign carriers to be on top of their game to pass their audits and checks. Just ask Tiger Australia !

Scoot to MEL early next year? Next logical choice in Australia? Remember when they choose OOL, they said MEL wasn't considered in the shortlist, maybe it was already chosen or perhaps SQ wanted to go double daily A380 before scoot comes in to MEL.
