Will Emirates become a 5-Star Airline?

Hey y'all. I'm asking pretty much the same question I did about Lufthansa.

Will we see Emirates become a 5-Star airline in our lifetime? Or is it downright impossible?

I guess you didn't take from the comments in the earlier thread that for many SQTers, Skytrax ratings are neither credible nor informative? For example,

The 'star' rating is a load of bollox anyway, it's from Skytrax.

Which is to suggest that Biman could also become a 5-star airline, for the suitable consideration.

I don't put too much star in the x-star ratings. They rated Kingfisher Airlines a five-star and when I was in India this year, two of my flights with them were canceled at the within 12 hours of departure and they refused to rebook us on anybody else

I remember their print ads from the 80s. Another airline that advertised a lot in those days was Kuwait Airways which I am seeing a lot again these days (Bangkok, Sydney), not to mention that SIA just resumed Kuwait flights. I wonder what their inflight service is like.

But to go back to EK--just like SQ, they're trying to position themselves as a service leader while making the most revenues on their flights. For me personally, the difference between a four-star and a five-star is not what they do--going about their airline business--but how they do it

i have never flown EK so i cant say much about them but from reading the passenger comments about EK on Skytrax, i highly doubt they will be a 5 star anytime soon. The number varies from 6's to 10's and is constantly jumping up and down with happy customers to unhappy customers. service "Ranges from Rudeness to Excellent", so i guess inorder to be a 5 star airline you have to be consistent. Look at all the passenger reviews on SQ. Mostly all the reviews are 9's or 10's.
