And so to bed
I was sitting in my favourite seat 2A.
I've only sat in F three times on 77W. Always in 2A!
The dinner service ended near the Black Sea..
.. the lights were turned down..
.. and I prepared to sleep.
I prefer the 77W F bed for sleeping than the R bed on A380!!!
The bed is wider but shorter on the 77W.
If you sleep on your side curled up, it is the better bed.

Breakfast
I woke up over India and freshened up before the rush to the toilets.
Actually no rush. 8 paxs sharing 2 toilets. Never a problem.
Breakfast Menu
Fruits
BTC Duck Rice. Hit the right spot cos breakfast menu is not SQ's strong point.
I always BTC the duck rice ex-LHR. Very delicious
Hmm.. looks dry in the picture
How about this...
Meaty, juicy and tender I assure youLast edited by 9V-SIA; 6 August 2010, 12:28 PM.

Interesting, the only time I have BTC'ed the Duck Rice was from SIN-PVG in J. They used yam rice (instead of white rice as shown in the pic) but I was not impressed at all. Rice was a bit hard and somewhat tasteless.God must have been a ship owner, he placed the raw materials far from where they are needed and covered two-thirds of the earth with water...

Camera. lights, action!
I made these comments on my last flight in F on 77W...
The lights need a re-design. There are no less than 3 lights per seat ( either side of the seat & overhead ) but adjustability is lacking
Can you see the limited forward/backwards adjustment of the light?
7 o'clock vs 6:30.
Left/right light adjustment even less. I took pictures but you can't tell the difference.
Note also that the headphone hangs on the light..
I also saw the rationale for the design...
Take a look at the wings that wrap around the seat.
They are not the same width.
The wider one is beside the aisle & affords greater privacy
Look at the lights when the seat is in the upright position..
By the aisle...
By the window...
I think the one by the aisle is for use when seated in the upright position.
The one by the window is used when the seat is in the reclined position.
You heard it first here on SQTalk!!
Note to SQ Lurker: Time to change the velcro strips on the seats. Not sticky at all on my flight
The rest of the flight was routine. I love flying F on the 77W. Great crew.. again.
The "Romance of Travel" still exists for me. You just have to pay a lot for it!!
GE90s cooling down on the apron. Thanks for another great flight 9V-SWF!
phaleesy, it is over..Last edited by 9V-SIA; 7 September 2010, 03:54 AM.

Cherry Valley is the breed, I believe

Looks like the duck rice is really worth it only ex-LHR.‘Lean into the sharp points’

Another great and entertaining TR 9V-SIA!
I miss the Jellied Eels from Selfridges.
When I was doing my A levels in the UK, I used to pick up half a duck and rice from Four Seasons (Before Gold Mine became the better venue) and split it into containers before my flights back to SIN during the term breaks.

I've always wanted to sit on SQ's 77W.
Not sure when i'll have the chance...
One day, if you study hard & eat your veggies, you will, I'm sure

How tall are you, if I may ask? I find some beds just a tad too short for me (I myself am 1.88m tall)

Thanks for another interesting trip report, 9V-SIA. You're really a staunch SQ flyer-supporter. Just out of interest, do you fly other airlines for long haul segments?
I didn't know about the Cherry Valley ducks. Ducks are indeed nicer here in the UK. A lot fatter. But I prefer chickens in SE Asia. The chickens here have too much meat and not much taste.
Your Lumix seems quite good in low light. Can't see any noise and the pictures are sharp.
