I agree about the TPR. I was in there on 12/20, escorted in, looked around, no one was there except me, and just walked out. Felt very stuffy in there.
Yeah, agree that it sometimes feels a little too stuffy.
Spectacular TR..... !!!!
Where were the kids this time? not going with mummy?
Kids have to go to school Anyway, they also have a new brother I brought home. Leroy now has 7 almost identical brothers I might take a family pic soon
When did you last visit the AKL one? International one was renovated last year and domestic the year before last. Both are quite good (better than MEL) although of course can sometimes get busy (despite both having more seating than they used to).
I last visited the AKL one 8 days ago - i wasn't overly impressed. Doesn't have the same feel as the one MEL or CHC has. I think even the AKL domestic one has a nicer ambience. Maybe cause it was crowded. I did like the sculptures on the dining table though
You'll have to come back when AKL international lounge is quieter.
Twas an 8am departure. Also rather sorely missed is the speshul escalator and dedicated security service from the premium check in area. The elevator took me up one level but it sorta joined the regular security queue - and that took some time.
8am is the tail end of morning rush (peaks around 7am), evening is the other major busy period.
The elevator from AKL NZ premium lobby takes you to your own immigration officer, and join the regular queue for security. That is not much different to the old layout (own immigration officer in the lobby with escalator to the regular queue for security). Indeed at peak hours the new setup has 2 immigration officers for NZ premium pax, which is an improvement.
Excellent report as ever SQfg Glad SQ was able to make your Christmas a merry one
SQ made my Christmas a reasonably nice one. But really, that I managed to spend parts of it separately with people I adore.... is what really made it merry
This actually also applies to some I had just met. Grace Jones - if you're reading this.....
