I was trying to show Isabelle Chu the First Class Check-In Lounge after arrival at SIN, but unfortunately, she had to give a press conference to one of the local chinese newspapers. I hooked up later with her at SKL F before her flight back to PER. She noticed how the new cleaning staff at SKL could not speak English. And later on when I had a guest who did SIN-LHR-SIN inaugural flights and was waiting for his SQ322 A380 back to London, he observed the same thing.

What an absolutely fantastic experience that was.

From the faces on those two when I said 'You know what, **** it, I'll come with you' to seeing a number of familiar SQ faces at the gate party (including the MAN based lot), untold press asking stupid questions, getting asked by people (including crew !!) have we got any more t-shirts, to seeing the worlds most famous Singapore Girl (and probably the best, she's a true star) and when asking has she seen who is in 77H and being told 'Oh yes, Mr SQ LPP, it's wonderful to have him on board' to drinking Krug in the Suites with Howard, the party at the back of the Upper Deck with the v-flyer guys, first to fly lot and Miss Inaugural....the list is endless...

Thank you to all who were there. You cannot put a price on things like that...

Best tannoy announcement: 'If we have a Mr Forshaw, Stephen in the gate area. Can he please make himself known to a member of staff'.

MAN Flyer, I'm glad you were able to join the flight & have such a wonderful time!

It must be a great experience. I had never thought doing an inaugural flight, but somehow I begin to change my mind lately...

In short, I was really really enjoying the whole experience. Thanks to great companies. A very surprise indeed to find MAN Flyer joining the party. And of course the special seatmate J777 who witnessed too many things about my PITAness. It was incredible to meet again Isabelle Chu and Steve from the previous A345 inaugural flights as well as the A380 first to fly like iangoodwin. And not to forget Howard Long who showed his Suite 1A to many of us. (I should take the pictures how many outfit he had for the occasions! )

Of course, the experience was excellent due to the crew as well. And the lovely lady IFS certainly has made SQ scores big points from all of us. She is the true SQ icon.

Of course there was a few hiccups here and there, but those were nothing to big picture. As J777 and MAN Flyer said (if I heard them correctly, and you know I was in another stage of drinkie doodle. ) it was the best flight.

So, to thanks everyone who worked on the flight, here are our thanks!

After taking off, I saw her walking down the aisle from the front upper deck, passed your seat, and went to see this poor pita seated in 77H. Then, after we chatted a while, she went to the back galley, and went up the other aisle. And she went to see you.

The SQ Girl in front of Man Flyer is one of the best flight attendants that SQ has.

PITA behaviour witnessed....

1) IFS has to personally come to the Upper Deck Y cabin to say hello to the Royal Pita.

2) IFS brought Krug for his Royal Pita.

3) Meal service started with seats 77HK.

4) The Royal Pita brought some duck and asked the FAs to warm up for him.

5) The Royal Pita requested for expresso coffee and Earl Grey tea during coffee/tea service

6) The Royal Pita requested for menus for Suites and Business Class.


Funny Behaviour witnessed...

1) Scaring the poor FSS during her own quiet dinner service. Almost had choclate bars thrown at by the FSS.

2) Thinking that the PTV was touch screen....(pressing the screen for 4 different times until I have to remind him !)

3) Too many bags.....left some of his bags with MANflyer at 19K.

Let me think of some others......

But of course....he is still the darling.....
