      • It just gets worse and worse, doesn't it? Just pray that there won't be blood spilled before things get better.

        • well, analyst saw this coming...... Army Chief is smart... gather all of them on the pretense of peace talks,... then arresting all of them and takeover.... no need to go all over the city to arrest... acting PM is quite smart, refuses to go to the meetings and so he is out there somewhere, rumour is that he is seeking refuge in the US Embassy...

Not sure I'd call him smart, but he's certainly got a rather large ego, you just need to see the quotes from him just before he took over as head of the army and immediately after. With him due to retire in September he needed to move now to get his name up in lights, and the morons on either side just made it too easy/tempting for him.

I can see this thread going for years.....

            • With curfew, is it a problem for late night arrivals to go into downtown Bangkok?

Travel to/from the airport is exempted from the curfew so it shouldn't be a problem unless you plan on taking a train or bus.
Just have an e-ticket print out and all should be good.

You have to wait till 5am next morning. I think there is a notice posted at the airport.
With exception of those taxi with License.

If you do not know the answer please do not post - The correct answer was posted just above your one.

                      • Well I said Prayuth had quite an ego, but even so some of the comments over the last few days have been hysterical, even by Thai political standards.

Utter nonsense. People flying in and out of Bangkok are free to travel to and from the airport all night during the curfew.

Please stick to your 'specialised subjects' : Airport Infrastructure anything that goes wrong in Singapore or with one of its companies.

                        • Thanks all for your insight.

I assume it will not be a problem going from airport, however, I am concerned that there may not be cabs available going to airport. I have a 6AM departure and I am not sure if cabs are available in the city at 330AM.

                            • Yes you will need to book the transfer back to the airport. You will not be able to just pick up a cab on the street during the curfew
