The breakfast spread at the Renaissance was very impressive. Breakfast service began at 6.45am. Now that was really early, but great for anyone still...

Back at the hotel, I showered and changed, before heading out with Mrs yflyer for an evening stroll along the river, retracing the route I had just taken....

This being Saturday afternoon, many people were out, and there was a very festive atmosphere.

Later that afternoon, I headed out for an orientation run. For my first run in Bordeaux, the route was a no brainer. The Renaissance was on the outskirts...

Some outlets had their own dining counters and seating, which was useful as the common tables were packed.

Our rooms were not ready when we arrived at 1.20pm. We headed outside for a look around, and for a quick bite, before returning to the hotel at 3pm to...

The Renaissance Bordeaux had the most striking entrance I had encountered in a hotel in a very long time.

The first class cabin had even wider seats, laid out 2-1...

We were soon in a taxi on our way to Gare Monparnasse, the train station in Paris where our TGV would be departing.

Overall, this was an excellent flight. I was pleasantly surprised at how well SQ's 2013 J cabin product had stood the test of time. It was and still is...

We headed through a long passageway from the satellite terminal to the main T1 building....
