Great 'downgrade'! The 50D and 5DMK2 seem more superior to the 5D! I'm jealous!
I have a 40D and 5D at the moment.
Is your 70-200 mm lens the 2.8L lens? Did you use a tripod for those plane-spotting shots? I find the lenses rather heavy and I am not sure if I could prevent camera shake. But image stabilizer should help, shouldn't it?
