    From the T&C:

The 20% is inclusive of the usual 15% discount for online redemption bookings.

    Not that impressive then.

The additional discount is not very attractive and is applicable to only a clutch of flights.

The time applicable is only travel in the month of March 2010. The redemption request to be made between 23rd Feb to 8 March 2010 is also limiting.

Will have to give this a pass.

In my opinion, it is better not to give an offer if the offer is a lame one. At least it does not remind me of the program becoming less attractive.

Well, it will benefit some people, no doubt. Personally, these days, I think any gesture from SQ is something to be lauded. Even lame ones... at least they show they are trying, albeit like watching liquid nitrogen reach room temperature...

Why does it seem that the majority of longhaul J is only on the "New" business class ie double miles?

Alamak! I just redeem my Shanghai ticket last mth when it was still 15% savings, so loss 5% of miles. Hmm...maybe I should cancel and redeem again? But 5% is not much difference so perhaps pointless.

Zactly. In fact, an extra 5% off is, well, almost insulting.
Saving 6000 miles on a 120000 mile redemption is hardly worth mentioning.

Umm....the redemption deals last year were 50% or 25% off,
in Jan this year they were 30% off, in March it's 20%.
Seem to be heading in the wrong direction.
Or maybe SQ is testing waters leading up to Savers across the board.

                        What is ha-mi?

                        Is it:

ha - mi = prawn noodle?
ha - mi = hami melon?
ha - mi = ham me?
ha - mi = laughing noodle?

That means you get an extra 5% on top of the 15% or 35%? If it is the former I'd rather burn my MH miles..
                            Cabin Crew, takeoff stations...
