  • 2 FF numbers on one booking?

Apologies as I know this was asked before but I couldn't find the thread.

I have a booking on LH from AMS-MUC-SIN and initially entered my KF FF number. I have now seen the light and want to start collecting miles on BD. Thing is I am a KFEG and want to be able to use the lounge at AMS and MUC. I have called up LH and indicated that I want both numbers listed (KF and BD - BD to collect miles and KF for *A gold status) and was told this was not possible. Are they right to say this, as I remember someone mentioning that this is possible and both FF numbers will be listed on the BPs?
God must have been a ship owner, he placed the raw materials far from where they are needed and covered two-thirds of the earth with water...

You need your BD number entered in the FQTV field and your SQ number entered in FQTS field.

Alternatively, just have your BD number entered but show your SQ card at the lounge.

Thanks Kiwi, strange that LH states that this is not possible. Anyways will just do as you say and show the KF card at the lounge.

Lufthansa is indeed only using one field (FQTV) as they don't track revenue. You gotta show your card at the lounge.

a related question: can i collect miles on one card for the outbound trip, and collect miles on another card for the inbound trip; if both trips are on one PNR?

Yes. Just show one card on the outbound, and show the other one on the inbound, both at check in.

I could be wrong, but I think LH uses FQTS for status recognition not for revenue. While having my BD number in FQTV, I've always been asked for my SEN number which they enter before being able to assign seat 83A.

Well I have just sent LH an email... Hoping to get an answer soon-ish..

FQTS is for status. LH does have both fields, but many agents don't know how (or are too lazy) to use it.

Just an update, I sent LH an email and the reply I got was that this was not possible. Ended up calling the reservations office in Germany and they managed to do it in a couple of minutes. Kiwi is right, many agents don't seem to know about their own booking system.
