  • Booking classes for Krisflyer mile accrual

    http://www.singaporeair.com/saa/en_U...es.jsp#Header2
Are all flights eligible for mileage accrual?
Most booking fares are eligible for accrual of KrisFlyer miles. However, some booking fares, such as Economy Class tickets issued in V, Q, G, N or T booking classes on Singapore Airlines and V, Q, G, N, T, W or L booking classes on SilkAir, are ineligible for mileage accrual.
I have a flight quoted in economy: the outward flight is quoted as HLPR3M which I think is "H" class; the return is NLPR3M which I think is "N" class, and is ineligible for point accrural (as per above). Can anyone enlighten me as to what is "H" class, and is it eligible for point accrural? thanks in advance

If it is indeed an 'N' fare, according to this thread, 'N' is a GV4 fare, hence ineligible for mileage accrual.

As for H fares, anyone able to help out?

There used to be a clause in KF where if you have even one leg that was non-accruable, the whole itinerary would be non-accruable. Don't know if it still exists though.

You may want to find out what your actual booking classes are. The first letter of the fare basis is often the booking class, but not always.

Not to sound too stupid, but are D and J class fares eligible for this benefit?

D and J are ok for mileage earning. (both accrues miles as per business class mileage).
There's only One way to fly.... SINGAPORE AIRLINES!
If SQ is too expensive, the other way to fly is Qatar Airways

I remember this rule too and I think it's still enforced, even though it's no more mentioned in LH M&M's website (it used to).

Huh? why would it be on the M&M website when we're talking about the KF programme?

Anyway this chart has the KF earning levels https://www.singaporeair.com/saa/en_...FOALLevels.pdf

Because that rule was valid even for accrual on Miles&more.

Any itinerary including (at that time) sectors on SQ booked in Q,N,G and V class was ineligible for mileage accrual on M&M. I suspect it was a rule imposed by SQ and therefore affecting all FFP partners.

                      Additional information

                      Excluded booking classes

Please note that if you booked any one route in the booking classes G, N, Q, R or V, you may not earn any miles on your entire itinerary.
I remember this because, particularly before 2004, M&M used to give you 100% miles regardless of the booking class (among Y classes, of course) with star partners, but with Singapore Airlines. At that time, there were already 4 bk classes excluded.

Thanks for all the help. This fare was quoted by our corporate travel agent....the rule is that if you can find a better fare, you are free to book your own flights, and then claim reimbursement....I can just beat the quoted airfare on SQ's website, and it books into "W" class....so I think this is what I will do. It's not an insignificant amts of pts Syd to Europe return!
