Dear All,
Trying to book a Y to J upgrade for July and August next year. Previously I have bought my commercial Y ticket and then in June sometime had the tickets issued when I have had sufficient miles. No problems as KF have been able to see my SQ flights and worked out that I would have at least 70% by issue date. (I actually flew much more so covered this easily).
Today, I call KF, seats available but cannot do redemtion booking as I don't have enough miles. Operator was rude and said not enough no flying!
Previously this has not been a problem. Should I phone Singapore or is this a new enhanced benefit?

Confirmed award/upgrades require immediate ticketing, holding confirmed space without ticketing is no longer allowed.
