Well, it's not justifiable to say that BD FFP is rubbish because you can not use the miles to do upgrade on SQ. As another example, as a member of Air Canada Aeroplan, I can not use the miles I earn for upgrading on AC flights. In short, each program has its own characteristics. Thus, we as the decision maker should be aware of each positive and negative of each program.

Put it this way, in some situations, your miles-earning ratio on BD would generate sufficient miles for a full business class redemption, whereas those same flights may not earn enough for an upgrade using Krisflyer...

In short, BD isn't rubbish. Spend some time to figure out which FFP works best for you.

I didn't mean they were rubbish, I meant they were rubbish i.e. not seriously ... I am a gold with them, but have never flown them ... is that wrong?
