faded wording on new-gen PPS card

My new PPS Club card is less than a month old, and already the silver wording that reads "Krisflyer / Singapore Airlines / PPS Club" is almost totally worn away...

All this from sitting in my wallet and having been swiped a handful of times at DFS.

Did I get a dud card, or is this another symptom of SQ cost-cutting?

Neither: it's SQ acting upon the additional source of revenue it identified.

Mine wore off very fast as well. I would have thought they had hired a designer intelligent enough to use materials that can reasonably withstand normal wear.

Same here. Mine started wearing off immediately.

Poor quality on top of poor appearance. At least we're more exclusive though eh....
