I'm much closer than that, but still waiting impatiently. I've already done a bunch of flying beyond the threshold, but nothing has credited recently. I'll be flying SQ again in late September and would not mind having my Solitaire card before my trip starts. Based on past experience, that seems unlikely.

HI Zvezda. Seems strange that it takes such a while for your miles to be credited. Mine takes at most 48-72 hours if it is on SQ flights. If it is on Silk Air, takes about 2 weeks max. Still waiting for my 1.5 sectors which I took yesterday to round it off to the 250 threshold. Should occur by tomorrow or the next day!

Sorry if I was unclear. I expect to be Solitaire any day now. I expect it will take ages to get a card. My flights seem to credit within 10 to 14 days.

I'm just debating whether to do a series of runs or not, but after re-reading the new PPS "benefits", I seriously wonder why one (namely *me*) should be doing this - I think that the *G lounge at SIN might be almost as good, and not so dark inside.

          Haven't been inside though...

Rest assured, the SATS Premier lounge for *G members is fine - bright and airy and has a view of the tarmac - but it is (I think) just as crowded as the SKL J lounge in the mornings.

Hi Upright Man - thanks for your feedback!

I would anyway be flying out to any India destination in the late evening/early night hours, as we have essentially had to cancel any move to SIN at this time, so it would not make any real difference to me. (this might change in a few months, but who knows!! However, do the new rules still allow one to get into the SKL F if you are in Raffles (new "Business Class"))?

And at the moment, I have the "pleasure" of flying LH - not as good, but plenty of upgrade benefits being a 1K with SWU's! (although service quality really sucks...)

                Hi SuperFlyBoy,

no, the new PPS rules restricts PPS members on Business/Raffles to SKL J lounge only......that's one of the unkindest cuts of all.

(off topic) You mean you are gonna lose your QPP status soon ? And become *G ?
Also, UA 1K gets you upgrades on LH often ? Then that's a great incentive to fly LH.

But if in Y, you still get SKL J, right?

Yes, I am *G on UA (1K), TG*G (maybe will expire by end of year) and will get LH SEN (*G) soon - just a few more trips!

1K gets you 6 SWU's, which upgrade you from either Y-> C or C -> F, and not very restrictive, like *A upgrades! However, only 1 SWU per sector on LH, unlike if you would use it on a UA itinerary!

The only reason to go for LH SEN is due to getting preferred seats in Y - nothing else!

LH refuses to acknowledge any UA*G as well for upgrades, but upgrades their own members frequently...this is another reason!

Losing QPP at Nov-end - I didn't derive much benefit from PPS, but I am sure it would have been different if I was SIN-based, and traveled frequently on SQ...

How about you? How long are you qualified until??

OT...As a SEN, can you assign an exit row seat on LH online or do you have to call?

I think one has to call...I'm not SEN, so haven't tried OLCI, other than for normal (*G!) reservations - they don't give to anyone other than LH SEN!

Thus, I think OLCI may have a chance if you are SEN, but cannot confirm this...
