Previously the UOB PRVI Amex (and, I believe, Visa) awarded 3 miles per dollar spent on SQ and MI bookings. This made it a far more desirable alternative to the SQ-branded Amex or other local Amex mileage-earning cards in Singapore.
Now, on the UOB web site marketing the card, there is no mention of this mileage benefit. It has been replaced by a 6 miles per dollar offer if the bookings are made via Expedia or UOB Travel.
If true, this is a huge devaluation of this card. I find it very disappointing that UOB would make such a significant change silently, though I understand it is within their rights. Many of us either cannot or will not book travel with Expedia or UOB Travel.
Now that PRVI's previous mileage bonus is gone, what is the best Amex in the market for mileage earning/travel bookings? DBS Altitude?
