Has anyone experienced major issues in receiving elite miles on KF when taking *A on non-SQ airlines?

No. At least, no more than those I face trying to credit any miles at all, since I often will just get exactly as many elite miles as I do award miles. I've never had major issues for either, though.
If you could be more explicit about the issues you're facing, someone here might be able to help you.

I'm about to continue Gold tier end of this month but I just had to use a non-SQ *A as the cost difference was quite big. Wondered how long it takes for this flight to credit. If it's not done within a week I will need to make a call to request an extension.Originally posted by chisquared View PostNo. At least, no more than those I face trying to credit any miles at all, since I often will just get exactly as many elite miles as I do award miles. Most *A flights credit within a few days, but don't be surprised if it takes up to 2 weeks.Originally posted by Mlee888 View PostI'm about to continue Gold tier end of this month but I just had to use a non-SQ *A as the cost difference was quite big. If it credits after your renewal date I'm sure you can get it reinstated as the date of the flight is what matters.

Yup no issue with any late crediting of mileage. OP will still get his *G status.Originally posted by SilverChris View PostMost *A flights credit within a few days, but don't be surprised if it takes up to 2 weeks.

Yup PPS$ is only on SQ or MI operated flights.Originally posted by Mlee888 View PostThanks both.
I usually just stick to SQ for *A so not been in this situation before. Guess for taking this flight the PPS spend value won't count.
From my understanding even if you bought a SQ ticket that is code share and the flight is on non SQ/MI metal there is no PPS$ earned

For reference. I recently took EVA AIR on SIN TPE return both the KF and Elite miles were credited very fast within 3 days of each flight. I'm actually quite surprised as I'd expected it to be longer. Not sure if it's a Star Alliance thingy but kudos to a smooth system

I am using ANA in 2 weeks so hoping for a quick credit there too. Shame the PPS aren't going to be updated.

Hoping someone can anyone give me some info regarding *A in Northern America- sorry if these things have been asked before but I've never had the continent on my radar and now I'm planning my first trip.
It's pretty clear that AC and UA seem to be the only way to go for *A, but I'm very unclear about their respective "Express" arms. Do "United Express or "Air Canada Express" recognise *A Gold status in terms of baggage allowance etc? Their websites are hazy about it and mostly written from the point of view of their own FF members, not a KFEG member.
Any experiences or advice greatly appreciated!

I believe it subject to the specific flight as Affiliate airlines may not be entitled to Alliance benefits
From Wikipedia on Star Alliance
Airlines operating under Air Canada Express, Air New Zealand Link, Cimber A/S, Lufthansa Regional, Tyrolean Airways and United Express are not necessarily members of Star Alliance. However, flights are operated on behalf of the respective member airlines, carry their designator code and are Star Alliance flights

As long as the flight is operated under an AC/UA flight number, you're good to go.Originally posted by SQ228 View PostHoping someone can anyone give me some info regarding *A in Northern America- sorry if these things have been asked before but I've never had the continent on my radar and now I'm planning my first trip.
