Waitlist Clearing

Hey everyone, i'm sure many of us are faced with the frustrating wait of when your waitlist will be confirmed. Why don't we create a thread for everyone to see a timeline on when waitlists are approved. ( for example, 14 days before the flight?) and any other interesting experiences. Thanks!

I booked myself on a full SQ910 (SIN-MNL) flight in September 2013. Waitlist status lasted only a couple of days and I was offered a seat soon after. That was about a week before the flight departure. I am a normal Krisflyer member.

I just cancelled a waitlisted redemption flight.... was waitlisted for the return sector, but decided not to wait. Booked one way and got immediate confirm .... for return will redeem with TG instead, in the same country but from a different city airport.

Wait listed 2 in J from FUK-SIN for Apr 2015 back in January after securing the SIN-FUK.
Seat map showed 7 free seats with about 2 weeks to go. Wait list cleared with 9 days left.
Cancelled the 2 Y seats I had confirmed as a backup
