  • Question on Expiry Points

    Hi,

Need some guidence from you guys..

I have 5000+ miles expirying in Aug 12.
    1. Does that mean I must fly on a redemned ticket by Aug 12? or
    2. Does it mean I have to make a redemption for a ticket by Aug 12 and not necessary making the flight by Aug 12?
    - e.g. I can make a redemption by Aug 12 for a flight for Jun 13?
-- If so, what if in Feb 13 (which by then the 5000+ miles should be considered expired), can I make any flight date changes after that? Can I make a flight cancellation? Will I loss all the points?

    Thanks in advance

You will need to redeem by Aug 12, whenever the flight might be (redemption only opens up like 330 days or 1 year from current date). I believe, you can make date changes within the validity of the ticket, but if you cancel the flight, you will lose the miles.

I am just wondering how much it would cost for extension. Would it be the same rate as purchasing miles?
