  • Krisflyer miles for spouse

Hey guys, would be glad if someone could help me...total n00b question, please don't hate.

I booked a flight for my wife with SQ and paid it with MY credit card...can I therefore claim the miles into my account or does my wife need to open a Krisflyer account aswell? I was flying together with her, but my flight had been paid by my company so they claimed the miles to their account.

    Thanks!

I have never heard of that. As far as I know SQ books the miles to the person who is travelling not the person/entity who paid. Then again, if your company is a big SQ customer, they may have arranged for a special corporate arrangement which offers them a discount but no miles for the pax.

Financially, SQ benefits more from giving miles rather than providing a discount. That's from the bean-counter perspective.

what about my wife's flight? can I still claim that to MY krisflyer account if paid with my credit card? or does she need one herself?

You won't be getting the miles from your wife's flight in your account, no matter what you do, that's unfortunately the bottom line, I'm afraid

Not that simple as BMI is being sold to BA. There is uncertainty over what will happen, but it means that BMI is no longer the place to warehouse *A points.
