But for KF member, there is a recent drying out of LH's first class availability across the entire network - A380 or otherwise. There used to be occassional F availability out of ICN, BLR, ORD, IAD but not any more.
Good luck for finding any reward seat. For now, looks like only Thai and Swiss offer easier availability to Europe in F.
Very soon, 180 000 miles in First Class will become obsolete - not redeemable.

SQ is blocking F availability on their A380 and 77W and no partner airline can book F redemptions seats. LH is doing the same with their A380 - don't see why they can't do the same as SQ.
There will always be F seats to Europe: SIN-MUC on LH works, and TG ex BKK has plenty of seats to LHR/CDG/FRA/MUC/ZRH. BKK-ZRH on LX works.
Note that SQ is planning changes to Krisflyer in 2012 and it looks they will at least allow partner redemptions for 77W F - make sure you put your miles in the right account :-)
Hi SMK77,
So Krisflyer gets a revamp. I need to get to Europe next June vai Business Class. Am I better waiting for the KF revamp or get a Saver to AMS or use a *A to Europe or London

Secure the flight that you like best in absence of any chances now - if there is something more attractive coming up, you can always change for a small fee.
All I have heard that they will introduce First Class redemptions for *A partner again (meaning you can redeem BD/LH/OS/UA/US/NH etc miles for flights on SQ). Once the 747 is gone, no awards/upgrades on SQ metal for any other partner airline. That's not right and SQ will have to fix that.
This might also lead to the introduction of saver awards and that might include First and/or Business Class. Availability might be very very limited though.
Similar question, I will need to fly to ATH in April. 2 Adults, 1 Child, 1 Infant, on SQ metal, I will have to use 280,500 miles. If I fly to IST, I will need 229,500 miles and then find my way to ATH either by using my Aegean miles or purchasing tickets.
Is there a better use of miles, if I fly on a partner airline?

Do you have any indication when these changes are to happen? I'm flying SIN-ZRH in Feb and would be keen for a Saver upgrade... might just be wishful thinking...
I suspect the earliest this will happen is in late March when the last 744 dies out
Life's A Bitch,
Love It
If GOD created me for only 1 reason. That reason would be to the love of my wife. If there was any other reasons involved, that would be for the love of Singapore Airlines
