Soup restaurant dinner tonight

Hi everyone who is coming for the Soup restaurant dinner tonight at Changi Airport :

called to make a reservation this morning, and waitress said they are not accepting any more reservations - so meet there 1930-2000 and try our luck- see you all there.

I am going to do a turn around SIN-CGK-SIN on 13/5. Having never done this before, I hope there won't be any problems. I am kinda reassured by CGK's previous posts that it won't a problem as long I get SQ in SIN to issue to my return boarding pass as well ( in some other threads)

After you deplane at CGK and before you get to immigration, you'll see an escalator going up which leads to the departure area. I've used it twice - the first time, I spoke to the very friendly people at the transfer counter (prior to reachng the escalator) and one of them escorted me upstairs (and into the nice Esplanade Lounge where you should spend some time). The other time, I just walked up the escalator myself and nobody challenged me.

The only other thing to mention is that you'll have to pay the airport tax at the gate for your departing flight - either in Rupiah or the equivalent in S$.

Tonight, before my flight bounds for ZRH, I have the privilege to have dinner with SQTalkers, family and friend. Failed with an attempt for Soup Restaurant, we went to Crystal Jade instead.

We've just got back home after what feels like a verrrrrry long journey (awake for 44 hours so far) - still sad we couldn't make the SQTalk dinner at the soup restaurant, but glad your kids liked the Australian toys - it was our pleasure, and the least we could do.

Sincere thanks to CGK for guesting us into the SKL F SIN this morning - there's nothing like a couple of glasses of Dom at 0700 Fantastic to see you again and thanks for picking up the Sennheisers for us

Hey, it was great to have met our newest SQTalkers (upright man & family plus SuperJonJon) as well as meeting several familiar faces (CGK & ethan21(don't even know your actual SQT handle )). Am now in SKL waiting for my trip back to UK. It has been a fun few days with CGK.
