Purchasing more than 1 seat under 1 name

Dunno if this has been asked and answered before. Does SQ permit one customer to buy two or more connecting seats in Y under his/her name? And would said customer accrue mileage times number of seats bought or just x1?

IIRC it stated in one of their fare conditions that you can purchase extra seats for additional space from their ticketing office.

was thinking if plus size pax can buy 2 seats? LOL! no offense....just real curiousity

No, you will not get miles for extra seat. I don't know how it works on SQ. Most US based airlines work like this: John Smith needs to purchase extra seat, the second seat will be under Extraseat Smith. John Smith cannot claim miles for Extraseat Smith since they have different names. I don't know if you can sign Extraseat Smith up for a new account and claim miles. You cannot book two seats under the same name as computer will flag it and cancels one out as duplicate booking.
