Now that the thread has been tidied up, it can be reopened. Hopefully warnings will be heeded and we won't need to lock another thread this week.

Was searching for more info on the SQ 917 MNL-SIN, as I just booked it in F-and came across this thread.

Surprised to find MNL-SIN-CGK all in SQ F: Last 2 years, flying SIN-MNL-SIN in June/July/August, found SQ had blocked many days in J and also the one flight that had F, so I'm happy to get this award. Availability is wide open.
      Didn't realize they'd cut F--but it's back.
Does anyone have an idea what the menu would look like for this segment? Like the BKK flights used to be, with no dessert course, only a fruit basket? I know it's one of Carfield's pet peeves about SQ short-haul F.
The main reason I'm using the extra miles for F is that it's still a good deal (30K OW+US$9 taxes) and will get a nice long visit to the F lounge at Changi. How bad is the Manila lounge?

Just wondering if F was ever cut or has it been reinstated? I'm planning a redemption in September and sincerely hope its still available!

And can someone pls advise, what are the loads in F like? Never had a solo ride before and I heard MNL is one of the least popular F destinations!

I know for sure there is still 1 SQ flight to MNL that has F class. Just can't be sure of the flight number now.

There will still be 1st class on selected SIN/MNL/SIN beyond Oct, the flight is SQ910 SIN/MNL & SQ917 MNL/SIN daily.

            Aircraft is B777-200.

I flew in first from MNL to SIN last month, but just noticed that my August rt in first has been changed to business.

And I don't see any first offered through the end of this year and into Jan. of next year.

The only 772 aircraft left with first class are 9V-SQE and SQF. These are SQ's two oldest passenger jets by at least 3.5 years (both are over 15 yo).

After the next two A330s are delivered, these craft are set to leave the fleet. Only the A380, 77W and 773 models will then carry F cabins.

Maybe MNL could get F back once 773 refits currently on MEL, SYD, DEL, DXB and HND routes are freed up by the new influx of 77Ws. Bit of a guessing game really!

Well, MNL seems to be operated by A333s Now, replacing the 772ERs which served the route as a" in between layover route"... guess they have enough A333s and this spells that another 772 is going off.Guess the 773 will not operate MNL yet as the 77Ws will probably be deployed to other areas.

SQE and SQF are still in constant use even with A330s flying MNL. 773s already operate one of the MNL flights on a regular basis.

I got lucky and my SIN-MNL flight yesterday got switched back to a three class 777-300 plane. So, the nice agent in Bangkok two days ago when I checked in changed my SIN-MNL seat back to first from business (without me asking). Very nice. ^

Surely the 773 is going to replace 9V-SQF on the CGK route. If not now then when?

Interesting... I am flying on SQ910 in a few days and see that there has been an equipment change from 772 to a 773. The seat maps I found online show a first class cabin on the 773... Or has this been refitted to a 2 class cabin?

With the exception of one plane, all 772 are two-class and all 773 are three-class, no matter what variant they are, ER or non-ER. If you have been re-assigned a 773 then it will have an F cabin.

(The exception is 9V-SQF which is the only 3-class 772 left which is confined to Jakarta flights as a rule.)

                                MNL First Available 2/10 - 2/14

I see first available for booking to MNL on the morning flight, SQ 910, all next week, Monday through Friday. It returns from MNL as SQ 917 in the early afternoon. It's a 777-300 plane. I don't see anything available after next week, but I didn't check everyday.
