SQ 872/871 today being operated by A330

Anyone knows when they will change SQ 870/SQ859 from a B772 ?

I want to know too as I am travelling in F in SQ859 next month and wonder if it will be impacted by change of aircraft ? Many thanks!

The only Business Savers & First Class Savers remain on SQ870/SQ859.

SQ865 is the peak timing flight, there sure is demand for F, thus a 77W.

Gosh, so if I take SQ 870/859, I would be stuck with the very old products Imagine going to HK on the A380 and returning on the very old B772.

Actually those 772s are not that bad, especially in Y, except PTV is only the down side. They are well maintained and the seats are even better than the new seats.

PS: Hong Kong Airlines will use its brand new A330-200 for HKG-SIN-HKG route starting from mid-January, give it a try when you interested (And the special Business Fare ex-HKG is only half of the fixed price set by SQ+CX)!

If you have a big hip like me, you will find the old seats are actually wider than the new one, and also much softer to sit.

I tend to agree on this point. The new seats gives a sinky feeling on a sliding bum rest
