They are trying to avoid the TPE-LAX route, after the SQ accident at chang kai-shek airport in PTE on Oct 31, 2000 that killed 79 passengers and 4 crew. After the accident, SQ changed the flight number from 006 to SQ28.

SQ30 came first, followed by SQ28 much later.

And to add on to your question: Why is her ghost seen in a LAX hotel, when the flight clearly had not arrived there?

The rumoured ghost of the hotel was not from the SQ6 accident.

thats nothing compared to the price i got today from my travel agency.
SIA wants $2060 per passenger from KSFO-Ho chi minh city. I love singapore airlines to death but the price is too high for me, so im taking eva deluxe economy. Has anyone ever taken eva deluxe? If so how is it?

i used to take eva when i was a student before i switched to singapore, and have flown their deluxe route long-haul from sfo-tpe. i must say that i have never been disappointed by eva. their service isn't on par with sia, but then again, whose is? despite that, they do a very good job of being prompt when you need attention. the deluxe is fitted with a personal tv, but the selection is rather limited. nonetheless, something is better than nothing. food is decent but not spectacular. honestly, i don't think you will be disappointed. the seats have a nice recline for economy, but legroom is still a little tight. but it is a huge upgrade over eva regular economy. happy travels.

BR's Deluxe is good; only tried it on their 744s not 77Ws. Comparable to SQ's Y+ on the 345s and its armrest is a little bit wider. My biggest gripe is BR's seats do NOT have the ears and your neck can hurt if . I would buy a neck pillow if on the 744s

Hearing your comments about the Deluxe class i now have confident that it will be a pleasant flight. I also found out that once i arrive in taiwan i will be taking the a330 to vietnam, i know that the a330 dont have a deluxe class so i will be waiting another 2 hours for the 747. Once again thanks for your response and i will be sure to post video and pix of the flight.
