    They will stickered the tag around the box.... (if there's no string around the box)
    Done that couple of times....

      They handle cardboard boxes all the time.
      Usually for boxes with no handles, they will paste the white luggage label across the box, with the appropriate priority tag(s).

          Don't worry, they will treat your Cartonites the same as your Samsonites...

          Do note though, you need to try and make the box as waterproof as possible as you will be carrying documents in them. They may be left exposed to the weather before loading on to / after discharging from the aircraft.
          God must have been a ship owner, he placed the raw materials far from where they are needed and covered two-thirds of the earth with water...
